I've watched it in the cinema today and, honestly, if I'd been at home I'd have dropped it quite soon but I was reluctant to waste my money & time, so I did see it through to the end. And surprisingly the finale was rather emotional, I couldn't stop tears from overflowing T_T
But the rest of the time I wondered what I disliked more--naive, illogical stuff which was presented in such a way that I found everything going on unbelievable and unappealing or how annoying & unlikeable everyone was (-‸ლ)
I mean, communication IS the key and quite often it may seem hard to find the right words to express all your feelings, so I can easily imagine how awesome it'd be to have such a magical transceiver but you have to try the simple ways too! That bond between generations matters but not if you have to sacrifice the people who are close to you now and distance yourself from them in a vain, futile hope to grasp the feelings of the deceased :( Violence is never a solution imo but that slap felt so justifiable, poor wife, I felt her pain😡
That's why ig despite my initial negative impression I really liked that CEO for standing firmly on his own two feet & not relying on any tree (-‸ლ) And luckily it was not the only example of independent attitude👏🏻
and finally, once again I felt how scary dementia is :(( So the boy's words that he'd accept her all the time, no matter what a new person every day she might be were so heartwarming <3 The viewers who left immediately at the first sounds of the ending song (-‸ლ) actually missed the final photo of her in a wheelchair but not alone. And it was such a nice, last touch, esp after it was revealed she'd been planning to commit a suicide.
All in all, it wasn't that bad & I even thought that sometimes it's worth it to overcome some annoying parts & finish the story no matter what but then again nah, there're too many more decent titles waiting for their turn :D
An idea occurred to me that perhaps he keeps avoiding her because if he gets what he wants there won't be any unfinished business and he'll just break that cycle of reincarnations🤔
aww what a sweet ending, I'm so happy for Nakamura😍 and really proud of him in this episode👏🏻 Now I want to go to the aquarium again :D I lloved it when he actually went there alone & when he chased Hirose & those words about honesty👍 great char development💪 Go for it, Nakamura, indeed \o/
Kaito definitely deserves his own story, he's awesome😍 I didn't expect it to be so good--funny, dynamic & sweet <3
Catching a glimpse of Conan with other kids felt nice, too🥰In general, DC has so many appealing & well-portrayed chars...a similar separate season would be riveting no matter who you choose👍which proves that it is so much more than simply a detective story👏🏻
HERO's WEB (a digital comic site where Nakamura-kun can be read) released a statement by the author:
"I have received a message from Syundei-sensei.
The content of that message is as follows:
[In Episode 5 of the TV anime *Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!*, a scene depicts a teacher and a student exchanging personal contact information.
However, this is intended strictly as a suggestive trope—nothing more than a nod to the BL genre—and neither the author nor the anime production staff endorses the actual practice of teachers and students exchanging personal contact details.
It was the author who specifically requested the following:
'Please depict the relationship between Otogiri and Hirose with a conscious awareness that they remain strictly teacher and student, without allowing their personal distance to become overly close;
Please avoid any depictions that could be construed as the sexual exploitation of female students or female characters;
And please refrain from including the cruder elements found in the original manga, instead adapting the content into a form suitable for a general audience.'
And it was the production team who faithfully honored these wishes.
Furthermore, while the author has previously created works within the BL genre featuring couples with significant age gaps—specifically those involving an adult (such as a teacher) and a minor (a student)—we have taken into account the alarming rise in heinous crimes committed by adults against minors in recent times. Consequently, we will no longer be utilizing such themes as subject matter in future works.
We sincerely ask for your understanding regarding this decision.
Finally, to anyone who has already read the original manga and felt discomfort as a result, we offer our deepest apologies."
It's so annoying they have to walk on eggshells around all those touchy 'fans'🤬 ppl seriously complain because they've exchanged their personal info O_O I have lots of students who contact me not to chat for fun but ask learning-related questions who would have thought I should feel like a real criminal because of that (`□′)╯┴┴
A hilarious ova :D I laughed too many times despite being sleepy :)
I'm still grumpy about the great detective being such a shorty T_T at least I could enjoy the great thief looking like his grown-up self :D I wonder if they are actually relatives or sth, it can't be just a coincidence they look absolutely the same O_O
"Syundei (the author of Ganbare Nakamura-kun) deactivated her Twitter account and said she’s quitting being a mangaka, all because of harassment from so-called “fans.” This issue has gotten worse, to the point that a lot of other Japanese authors have spoken up and pointed out how annoying international fans can be. That’s why gatekeeping can feel necessary—once “tourists” discover something, they sometimes try to reshape it to fit their own tastes instead of respecting the original work."
I'm so furious rn 🤬 (`□′)╯┴┴ wtf is wrong with ppl
All episode long I couldn't help thinking that it's kinda wrong to get all those precious gifts from her and do nothing in return O_o Welp, he did thank her but can it be enough for all her amazing work?! Is it really ok in Japanese culture?🤔
wow 👏🏻 what a rollercoaster😍 I was so heartbroken, it really hurt, poor guy T_T and then suddenly I'm literally squealing with delight 😍 what a cool plot twist, I hope to see them together more often from now on, he deserves all that happiness after so many lonely years🙏
I didn't expect Ran to look so sexy while sleeping😍 poor Shinichi :D welp, he got his just deserts for lying to her🤨 I still can't accept that he's revealed the truth to so many chars already but she's still kept in the dark T_T
mmm I like that this mc's seiyuu also voiced the main char from The Summer Hikaru Died😍
Overall, it was sweet, though I'm not a fan of awkward types but at least it didn't drag on and his main goal of talking to him was achieved.
I find tentacle tag in the stories off-putting, but surprisingly, their attempt to save the octopuses was the cutest scene in the whole episode, imo <3
hmm after that pinpoint shot it seems even more plausible that it was Shui :( Though the fact that he didn't utter a word makes me still hopeful it's some other guy :( it's too suspicious🤔 I wonder how many more episodes I'll have to wait to get my answers T_T
As for the robbers, it was a smart trick👍so in contrast that final decisive blunder seems esp stupid O_o it should have been obvious they had to stand up as well(-‸ლ)
I wanted to ignore that failure of a cop and a woman but I need to get it out of my system ⋋_⋌ So, that afterimage of her being a hysterical, unfair bitch when she demanded not to say his name again stopped her form telling the truth & therefore thorough investigation of what had happened O_O Instead of admitting & apologizing for her overemotional outburst (it would be a mature thing to do but welp it's Jodie sensei (-‸ლ)) she keeps lying & just dismissing that important detail O_O And she IS an FBI agent (`□′)╯┴┴
smth weird is going on O_O I mean I want to believe he's alive and kicking but this guy is too strange. I wish he were someone else T_T
& jeez, it turns out she's his ex-girlfriend O_o what an unpleasant twist :( I've never been her fan but now she's even more insufferable :( All the episode long she's been so annoying ⋋_⋌ First, overreacting & taking all her frustration out on her colleague (-‸ლ) then shouting his real name in the crowd (-‸ლ) lying to her boss why she's there, I don't even want to mention that robbery case (-‸ლ) whiny, infuriating, incompetent broad 🤬
I don't get mc at all😞 Why is he acting so inconsistently?! O_o First he's presented like some kind of perverted guy but then he dodges her completely?! wtf😡 give that lonely goddess a hug (`□′)╯┴┴ and I don't believe after everything I've seen that some possible trap afterwards could stop him O_o he's already died countless times, at least now he could experience what he's been longing for for so long 🤨 oh, & it turns out he doesn't feel pain anymore O_o So, now when he's back to trying to get closer & it's her turn to avoid him I don't buy that shit anymore😒
That's kinda jarring, honestly, to see real ppl in my anime :( It's been years since I've watched any film, anime is more than enough but then they suddenly force this weird mixture of reality & perfect anime world on me. sigh, in contrast it's more obvious how the latter outshines it
I wouldn't mind having such a rainbow bag myself, that was a nice concept👍
An intense though kinda obvious but still quite enjoyable case👌
and yay it looks like BO episodes are back \o/
It's def fun👍 but mc is kinda unlikable😒why did he have to be so cruel to that poor boy as his inner voice?! O_O I couldn't stop imagining all his suffering, so it spoiled that truly hilarious moment with the switch. I'd have enjoyed it so much more if I hadn't felt disgusted with all his heartless antics T_T Trying to persuade myself that this absurd nonsense shouldn't be treated seriously doesn't help😢
A cute couple🥰 His obsession & affection were truly appealing & fun to watch. The wedding was such a classic, perfect finale👏🏻 I'm gonna miss them. I'd like to see more of their adventures though.
A fascinating, long case 👍 Four episodes were enough for me to fall for that new handsome, intelligent detective who has such an awesome way with words😍 I lloved how he used all those quotes from Chinese strategies, such a cool mixture of two cultures👏🏻 I hope it's not the last time he appears in the story, I'd like to see more capable, competent cops🙏
I downgraded my rating a little bit after this ep as it was utterly unpleasant to watch🤬 I get it that Aggot is just a kid & she must have a reason for all her repulsive, uppity attitude & she might have sincerely believed it was not a dangerous task, just impossible to do but the way she abused her authority & the trust she'd been given to take care of her roommate is still disgusting. She knew that mc's goal was to save her mum but she still intended to make her fail and leave🤬 where would she go, who would she live with, did she care?! nope, "I don't need such ppl around... I'm not gonna accept her... I... I..." So egoistical🤬 The world doesn't revolve around you(`□′)╯┴┴ even if you don't approve of a new apprentice who are you to bully her?! I can't imagine that after this rotten move she'll grow on me later.
Anyway, I could just try & ignore that infuriating brat but what about their sensei🤬 Was he really unaware of her dangerous attitude?! Even a total stranger warned him not to leave kids alone but he was fine with that & all that risk for a robe delivery?!🤨 Why didn't he reprimand or just talk to her about that dangerous accident afterwards?! Why did he blame MC, the victim?! She knew nothing of what was right or wrong in their magic world and trusted the person he himself had left in charge of her, so what exactly was her mistake?
I mean it's pretty obvious it was created that way to help mc shine & progress by overcoming any obstacles but jeez it was done in such a lame, sloppy way (-‸ლ) btw first she's shown all clumsy, tripping every step, practising a lot just to keep her balance & two feet together 😐 but then suddenly she's able to use a glider at her first attempt🤨 suuure very consistent😩
I usually drop stories with that many insufferable characters but it's too pretty, ig I'll try watching more.
So tedious & annoying (-‸ლ) wtf was that talk about marriage at their age?! O_O With two episodes left there's no point in dropping it now but if it gets another season let this comment be a reminder to me to NOT even start that (`□′)╯┴┴
I can't stop lamenting that great loss of Kogoro's VA T_T The first episode with a different voice & it spoilt all the fun :( I kept thinking all the time how it sounded wrong & weird :((( Seriously, now he sounds so....dunno noble, suave like a capable adult ahaha, so it creates an impression of a totally opposite character :( I keep reminding myself that some ppl actually watch with terrible Russian voiceover, not even caring about all these subtleties of chars' images but jeez I feel like whining in every episode he appears now T_T
It was a tad healing to see lots of other comments on mal with complaints about this change, at least I'm not alone suffering here :((( I do agree that destroyed Kogoro's image completely. hmmm maybe I should start believing that he's actually matured😮 and is about to act like a competent private eye, father, husband AND adult, lol :D I'll give this idea a try🤔
oh ic some ppl from future in the comments😂 promise the voice actor will become better & will fit Kogoro's image more. Sigh, ig I'll have to suck it & see...
"it was funky and not to mention the iconic "yoko-chan~~~" aww reading this comment I heard his old voice in my head, I'm gonna commit that to memory. Thanks for 500+ episodes of pure pleasure 😭💜
https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=116809 the explanation of what has actually happened T_T
The last episode where I could enjoy an awesome, unique voice of Akira Kamiya T_T It was so perfect for Kogoro Mouri. The character may have looots of weaknesses, I've seen so many complaints about him in the comments but despite all of his goofiness he was still so likeable & a huge part of his appeal was thanks to that gorgeous voice T_T It feels like the end of an era :((
At least I'm glad the man is alive and, I hope, in good health but the reason is such a letdown :( I wish they could have found a solution, what a waste to let him go :(( In September 2009, Kamiya announced on his blog that he would no longer be playing Kogoro because of "contract-related problems." 🤬 The frustrating thing is that the full story was never officially explained in detail :(((
Never before have I felt so sad about the change of a voice actor :(
aww😻I kinda expected it to remain white as the prettiest color for cats but astonishingly I found out that it's a bad omen only in our culture :( In Japan black cats are widely considered bringers of good fortune, prosperity, and protection, that's good to know🥰👏🏻
